The national Instagram challenge #ViaggiarePerBorghi organized by IgersItalia within the project Borghi Viaggio Italiano is over. With over 6.500 photos uploaded on the hashtag, the photographic challenge has told, from the hinterland to the coasts, the most genuine soul of Italy. Now a selection of the most representative shots becomes an ebook, presented at TTG Rimini 2017.

Landscapes, alleys, glimpses, monuments, traditions, ancient gestures, craft shops, typical products & foods…All of this is kept inside the Italian Villages, true custodians of history and identity of the land, and all of this has been captured by the photographic eye of the instagramers who took part to the challenge #ViaggiarePerBorghi.

Among all, the panel of judges selected as winners the 3 authors of the most distinctive and emblematic photos: congrats to Flavio Romagnoli [@flavio_romagnoli], Danilo Fortunato [@unequal_vision] and Vincenzo Angelini [@vinkweb]. Their prize is a long-weekend tour in the Abruzzo Region, to discover and document with their shots some of the territories hit by the 2016 Central Italy Earthquake (more info on IgersItalia blog).

The 3 winners will be rewarded at TTG Rimini 2017, during the final press conference devoted to the MiBACT’s “Year of the Villages” initiatives.
Moreover, among all the photographs, 5 images has been selected for each of the 18 Italian Regions taking part to the Borghi Viaggio Italiano project; these photos are the heart of a free-downloadable ebook that will also be previewed during the TTG event.

But, with a pinch of local favoritism, today we want to propose you also a selection of the most beautiful images taken in Emilia-Romagna 🙂 Here they are below:
