Today in Bologna the new (sixth!) edition of BlogVille starts, the by now famous storytelling project conceived and realized by the Emilia-Romagna Tourism Board in collaboration with iambassador. And as we anticipated a few months ago at the opening of applications, this year BlogVille goes Europe thanks to the participation of Austrian Tirol!
Collaboration between the two Regions consists of a consecutive calendar of activities for a total amount of six weeks:
in Emilia Romagna from Monday 5th June to Monday 10th July
in Tirol from Sunday 2nd to Saturday 15th July.
The union between the two parts of the project pass through a train rail, the one that connects Emilia-Romagna to Austria, with two bloggers that will physically take a coach to reach Achensee and then Mayrhofen, the two bloggers’ apartments (or maybe we should say chalet?).
As regards the Emilia-Romagna’s part, we host 17 guests coming from all over Europe (Germany, UK, Spain, Portugal, Netherlands, France and Belgium) and overseas (USA, Canada, Argentina, Brazil and Australia).
Format is the same, strengthened over the years: “eat, feel & live like a local”, that means bloggers are free to live the authentic local life, discovering typicalities and excellences of the Region according to their own preferences.
All the guests are based in the BlogVille House in the old town centre of Bologna, from where they can travel by train to Emilia and to Romagna, with also the possibility to visit the neighboring Republic of San Marino, partner of the project once again.
Each guest have his own tailor-made itinerary according to his interests and specialization area: those who love to bike will have the chance to discover the region on two wheels, food-bloggers will take part to gourmet events and specific courses, those who are interested in culture and traditions will discover the most characteristic villages of the hinterland.
