With its over 90 km of golden beaches, the Romagna Riviera is one of Italy’s most famous seaside destinations<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Although it appears as a long stretch of uninterrupted sand, its beaches exhibit different characteristics along the coast, from north to south.<\/p>\n

They range from the wild sandy shores of the beach towns of Comacchio<\/a><\/strong> and Ravenna<\/a><\/strong> to the more urbanized and well-equipped areas of Rimini<\/a><\/strong>, Riccione<\/a><\/strong> and Cattolica<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Along the way, you encounter iconic national tourism like Cervia<\/a><\/strong>\/Milano Marittima<\/a><\/strong>, Cesenatico<\/a><\/strong>, Bellaria Igea Marina<\/a> <\/strong>and Misano Adriatico<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

There are views for all tastes: wide and sandy beaches, lagoons, pine forests, cities of art and sea towns, everything perfectly integrated with the natural environment that has made this area one of Italy\u2019s and Europe\u2019s most desired destinations<\/strong> for more than 150 years.<\/p>\n

The whole Riviera has recently seen the start of a new project of renovation, which in some cases has completely changed the look of long stretches of coastline, thus transforming this \u201cpromenade\u201d in one of Italy\u2019s most beautiful ones<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

While keeping their typical seaside vocation, these landscapes have been adorned with green and sustainable infrastructures, perfectly integrated with parks, sports and recreational areas, in full respect of the delicate balance between the ecosystem of the beaches and the one of the hinterland.<\/p>\n

Ravenna, Rimini, Cervia\/Milano Marittima and\u00a0Misano Adriatico are just some of the towns that have changed \u2013 or are changing \u2013 the look of their promenades. In addition, others in Cesenatico and the Lidi di Comacchio are being completed.<\/p>\n

Parco Marittimo Ravenna<\/span><\/h2>\n

A great \u201cpark\u201d nestled between the Adriatic sea and the pine forests behind the dunes. This is the project \u2013 not finished yet \u2013 of the Ravenna’s Parco Marittimo<\/a><\/strong>, which has already started to change the beaches of the former historical capital.<\/p>\n

Environmentally-friendly wooden walkways, cycle and pedestrian paths, people-oriented services and a network of connections weaving together the sea to the complex ecosystem of the brackish lagoons, integral part of the Po Delta Park<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

We highly recommend a stroll at sunset on the most fascinating walkways, to fully enjoy the sound and smell of nature.<\/p>\n

The most suggestive ones are between Punta Marina<\/a><\/strong> and Marina di Ravenna<\/a><\/strong>, but there are other very charming ones in Casalborsetti<\/a><\/strong>, Lido Adriano<\/a><\/strong> and Lido di Dante<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The promenade of Cervia\/Milano Marittima<\/span><\/h2>\n

In recent years, Milano Marittima<\/a><\/strong> and Cervia<\/a><\/strong> have renewed their waterfront<\/a><\/strong>, transforming it into an irresistible attraction. From the port canal, through the center of Milano Marittima, up to the XIX Traversa and Lido di Savio, a long promenade, entirely pedestrian and bike-friendly, has connected the locality to the beach and its bathing establishments.<\/p>\n

This splendid promenade offers paths and wide green areas for relaxation, meeting friends, engaging in sports activities, and enjoying the benefits of the sea, breathing in the iodine-rich air.<\/p>\n

The San Mauro Mare Waterfront <\/span><\/h2>\n

An example of beauty, functionality, and environmental sustainability. The new waterfront of San Mauro Mare<\/a><\/strong> (Fc) is a promenade of approximately 700 meters, featuring bike and pedestrian paths, green areas, and shaded seating. It serves as a perfect connection between the tourist destination and the sea.<\/p>\n

The Bellaria-Igea Marina Waterfront<\/span><\/h2>\n

The new waterfront of Bellaria-Igea Marina<\/a><\/strong>, dedicated to the legendary Raffaella Carr\u00e0, a native of this charming seaside town, is a tribute to her unforgettable vitality and spirit.<\/p>\n

This project, which extends for nearly 1.5 km, has transformed the area into a place for meeting and relaxation, with spaces to pause, wide green areas, and zones dedicated to outdoor sports.<\/p>\n

Rimini, like Miami!<\/span><\/h2>\n

Like the promenade of Miami, and even better! All kidding aside, the new promenade of the city \u2013 so-called Parco del Mare<\/a><\/strong> (Park of the Sea) \u2013 has really changed the look of the Marina of Rimini.<\/p>\n

From Torre Pedrera to Miramare, a long promenade of 16 km<\/strong>, where it is possible to relax between sun and salt, walk, but also do various kinds of sports in the open-air \u2013 everything surrounded by a unique landscape.<\/p>\n

Environment, wellness and urban renovation are the main ingredients of this great project of redevelopment. There are cycle and pedestrian paths, equipped areas and true open-air gyms.<\/p>\n

Everything is surrounded by green and curated areas connecting the beach to the city, in the shade of fountain-trees inspired by Gianni Rodari and big R-shaped lamp posts paying homage to Romagna and Rimini.<\/p>\n

Riccione, a Four-Star Waterfront<\/span><\/h2>\n

Nearly 4 kilometers of pure beauty make up the new Goethe and Shakespeare promenade of Riccione<\/a><\/strong> (RN), exclusively reserved for pedestrians and cyclists.<\/p>\n

This fantastic waterfront, stretching from the Marano stream to Piazzale Azzarita, is a true green lung that breathes life into the dense hotel fabric facing the beach, with social areas, shaded furnishings, new paving, and two splendid fountains.<\/p>\n

From early morning until evening, residents and tourists flock to this area to exercise, stroll, relax in the shaded gazebos, and dine al fresco while enjoying the sea breeze.<\/p>\n

The new promenade of Misano Adriatico<\/span><\/h2>\n

Green flowerbeds, cycle and pedestrian paths, art installations, benches, illumination and a cable radio system: all this, and much more, is the new promenade of<\/strong> Misano Adriatico<\/a><\/strong>, in the province of Rimini.<\/p>\n

The renowned beach town, long known for its hospitality, its family-oriented services and the great sports appointments of the Misano World Circuit<\/a><\/strong>, can now boast an intervention that upgrades all the area from via D\u2019Azeglio to via Passeggiata dei Fiori.<\/p>\n

Taking a stroll with the sea in front of your eyes and the sun over your head has never been so cool in Misano!<\/p>\n

The Sustainable Waterfront of Cattolica<\/span><\/h2>\n

Cattolica<\/a><\/strong> also surprises us with its new waterfront, which returns the traditional seaside promenade to residents and tourists, transforming a space once used as a summer connection between the city and the beach into a livable area year-round.<\/p>\n

This 800-meter seaside stretch connects the Tourist Port to the De Amicis Gardens, enriched with plant species, spaces dedicated to gentle and electric mobility, and areas for socialization and well-being, all free of architectural barriers. Finally, the enhancement of the town’s identity elements, thanks to the integration of the historic “Mura Majani,” tells the maritime history of the city.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
