Vivida Photo PC via shutterstock solo uso editoriale<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The complete itinerary includes <a href=\"https:\/\/www.talkingteens.it\/le-statue\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">16 statues<\/a>, located in the squares of the city (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.talkingteens.it\/src\/MappaTalkingTeens.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here&#8217;s the map<\/a>); once you arrive at the place where the statue is located, you can choose to <strong>receive the call in 3 ways<\/strong>:<br \/>\n1. dialing the telephone number shown on the license plate;<br \/>\n2. by scanning the QR code;<br \/>\n3. by downloading the App (<a href=\"https:\/\/apps.apple.com\/it\/app\/talking-teens\/id1459498571\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">for iOS<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=digital.diapason.echo.talkingteens&amp;hl=it&amp;pli=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">for Android<\/a>).<br \/>\nThe phone call, lasting approximately 2-3 minutes, is available in Italian or English; you can also receive a video call in LIS, the Italian sign language.<\/p>\n<p>After a walk in the city, a recommended stop with children in Parma is the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.castellodeiburattini.it\/project\/default.asp?sLang=UK\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Castello dei Burattini<\/a><\/strong> (Puppets Castle), one of the most important collections in Italy dedicated to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.castellodeiburattini.it\/leftProject\/pages.asp?id=31&amp;sFullId=1.27.3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">animation theater<\/a>, which is located on the ground floor of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.castellodeiburattini.it\/leftProject\/pages.asp?id=38&amp;sFullId=1.27.4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">former monastery of Saint Paul<\/a>.<br \/>\nThe <a href=\"https:\/\/www.castellodeiburattini.it\/leftProject\/pages.asp?id=21&amp;sFullId=1.26.4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">museum itinerary<\/a>, with free admission, is made up of 5 rooms, in which you can observe <strong>marionettes and puppets<\/strong>, but also playbills, posters, scenographic devices, and scripts that the Parmesan puppeteer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.castellodeiburattini.it\/leftProject\/pages.asp?id=23&amp;sFullId=1.27.2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Giordano Ferrari<\/a> has collected in over sixty years of activity.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"title-evidenza\">Boschi di Carrega Park: ampoule treasure hunt<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>A few kilometers from Parma there is a <strong>small forest<\/strong> known and used since the Farnese era, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.parchidelducato.it\/parco.boschi.carrega\/page.php?id=249\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Boschi di Carrega Regional Park<\/a>. VisitEmilia<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>More or less hidden around the woods, hanging from the trees, there are in fact <strong>numerous little bottles<\/strong>; once found, it will be possible to extract the sheet they contain and <strong>discover for each one the message they hold<\/strong> &#8211; a message dedicated to nature, biodiversity and respect for the environment.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"title-evidenza\">Fontanellato: the Masone Labyrinth<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Moving to the next stop towards the north-west, we reach <a href=\"https:\/\/www.travelemiliaromagna.it\/en\/emilia-romagna-villages-fontanellato\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fontanellato<\/a> and the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.labirintodifrancomariaricci.it\/en\/labirinto-masone\/home-en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Labirinto della Masone<\/a><\/strong>, the <strong>largest labyrinth in the world<\/strong>, designed by <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Franco_Maria_Ricci\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Franco Maria Ricci<\/a> and made entirely with bamboo plants of 20 different species, between 30 cm and 15 mt high.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The route is over 3 km long<\/strong> and allows adults and children to experience an adventure worthy of <em>Alice in Wonderland<\/em>.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_57100\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-57100\" style=\"width: 1080px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-57100 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.travelemiliaromagna.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/labirinto-della-masone-fontanellato-ph.@oissela_93.jpg\" alt=\"Fontanellato, Labirinto della Masone Ph. @oissela_93\" width=\"1080\" height=\"809\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.travelemiliaromagna.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/labirinto-della-masone-fontanellato-ph.@oissela_93.jpg 1080w, https:\/\/www.travelemiliaromagna.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/labirinto-della-masone-fontanellato-ph.@oissela_93-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.travelemiliaromagna.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/labirinto-della-masone-fontanellato-ph.@oissela_93-1024x767.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.travelemiliaromagna.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/labirinto-della-masone-fontanellato-ph.@oissela_93-768x575.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1080px) 100vw, 1080px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-57100\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Fontanellato, Labirinto della Masone Ph. @oissela_93<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>In the heart of the labyrinth<\/strong>, there are some buildings with fascinating architecture where the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.labirintodifrancomariaricci.it\/en\/labirinto-masone\/collections\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">artworks collected by Franco Maria Ricci<\/a><\/strong> during his life are on display: a journey through the History of Art spanning over 5 centuries, with works ranging from the Sixteenth to the Twentieth century.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"title-evidenza\">Castell&#8217;Arquato: the Fortress of the Knights<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The itinerary continues in the province of Piacenza, to reach a place that seems to have come out of a legend or an adventure film with ladies and knights. We&#8217;re talking about the <strong>village and castle of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.travelemiliaromagna.it\/en\/emilia-romagna-villages-castellarquato\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Castell&#8217;Arquato<\/a><\/strong>, whose <strong>fortified profile, full of towers, bell towers &amp; crenelated walls<\/strong>, stands out over the surrounding area.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s no coincidence that this fortress was chosen as one of the sets of the famous film <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ladyhawke_(film)#Filming_locations\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ladyhawke<\/a>. But the village is also one of the <a href=\"https:\/\/borghipiubelliditalia.it\/en\/borgo\/castellarquato\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Most Beautiful Villages in Italy<\/a> as well as one of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bandierearancioni.it\/borgo\/castellarquato\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Italian Touring Club&#8217;s Orange Flag villages<\/a>.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_78104\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-78104\" style=\"width: 1600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-78104\" src=\"https:\/\/www.travelemiliaromagna.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/CastellArquato-Ph.-Colombo-Nicola-via-shutterstock.jpg\" alt=\"Castell'Arquato Ph. Colombo Nicola via shutterstock<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Here, a walk through the alleys of the village up to the\u00a0<strong>monumental square<\/strong> overlooked by the Palazzo del Podest\u00e0, the Collegiate Church and the <strong>imposing <a href=\"https:\/\/castelliemiliaromagna.it\/en\/s\/castell_arquato\/6034-rocca_viscontea\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rocca Viscontea<\/a><\/strong> is a must. The view that can be enjoyed from the high keep alone is worth the visit to the Fortress, but inside there&#8217;s also a Museum of Medieval Life, with models of war machines and a reconstructed weapons room.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"title-evidenza\">Gropparello Castle: the Park of Fairy Tales<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The last stop on our child-friendly Emilian itinerary is the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/castelliemiliaromagna.it\/en\/s\/gropparello\/6037-castello_di_gropparello\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Castle of Gropparello<\/a><\/strong>, a medieval fortification immersed in the Vezzeno valley, built on a rocky promontory of volcanic origin.<\/p>\n<p>In this scenic manor, surrounded by crenelated walls and dominated by two towers (the entrance one with a drawbridge and the mighty central keep), according to legend, <a href=\"https:\/\/en.castellodigropparello.net\/la-leggenda-di-rosania\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the ghost of Rosania Fulgosio<\/a> still roams today.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_75713\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-75713\" style=\"width: 1440px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-75713\" src=\"https:\/\/www.travelemiliaromagna.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Castello-di-Gropparello-via-facebook.jpeg\" alt=\"Castello di Gropparello via facebook | Ph. @donnavagabonda\" width=\"1440\" height=\"960\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-75713\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Gropparello Castle | Ph. @donnavagabonda via facebook<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Inside the park of the Gropparello Castle there&#8217;s the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/en.castellodigropparello.net\/il-parco-delle-fiabe\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Parco delle Fiabe<\/a><\/strong> (Park of the Fairy Tales), a place specially designed to make children experience the <strong>magical atmosphere of fairy tales, among knights, fairies, elves and witches<\/strong>.
